Happy Monday everyone!
I hope you all had a lovely and relaxing weekend.
As for me, I spent it battling an ear inflammation. I went to see my doctor on Friday because I released that I couldn’t hear anything out of my left ear anymore! That was a terrifying moment, I tell you! Luckily my doctor said it’s nothing serious and prescribed ear drops to apply 3 times a days. And it seems that, slowly, my hearing is coming back. What a relief!
In another news, I wanted to show you a look I did using one of my fave color combos: pink and yellow. Some people are skeptical when I say I like to pair these two colors together but I think they go very well with each other. I also added a bit of purple cos that always looks great with pink and the result was a beautiful and bright look that uplifted my mood for the entire day.
Here it is:
Products used:
– Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer
– Makeup Masala mineral eyeshadow in Agni
– Sleek Safari palette (yellow and white)
– Sleek Original palette (purple)
– Prestige Eyeliner pencil in Kiwi
– Maybelline Volum Express Cat Eyes Mascara
Directions:
– Apply an eyeshadow primer (I used Senna Totally Transforming Eyeshadow Primer) all over lid to create a sticky base for the eyeshadows to adhere to.
– Swipe a fuchsia shade (I used Makeup Masala eyeshadow in Agni) on the lid.
– Apply a slightly dark yellow shade (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the crease and blend well.
– Swipe a white shade (I used the one in the Sleek Safari palette) on the browbone to highlight.
– Using MAC 219 pencil brush, apply a bright purple shade (I used the one in Sleek Original palette) on the lower lashline.
– Line your waterline with a green pencil liner (I used Prestige Eyeliner pencil in Kiwi)
– Finish off with mascara.

Hope your ear inflammation have subsided by now.
My fav combination of colors too. Though I think the yellow kind of look a bit orange-y. Nice interpretation of the sun!

What a scary hearing situation! I’m glad it was just inflammation, though. Also, I totally agree with the yellow and pink. It’s a winning combination most people ignore.

Nikki, thanks! You should use fuchsia more, it’s a beautiful shade
But then again, I love anything pink
Vonvon, thanks, it’s getting better.
Thank you, I’m glad you like this combo too. Yes, the yellow turned a bit orangey when blended with the pink, but I kinda like that
Trisha, I found out I couldn’t hear out of my left ear late at night and was totally terrified. I didn’t sleep a wink that night and went straight to the doctor first thing in the morning. I’m glad it’s nothing serious and that’s healing well, but what a scare it gave me!
I’m glad this color combo is getting a lot of love. It’s a shame it’s so underrated cos it’s truly stunning imo.
Gorgeous! Such a simple look that gives a dramatic effect. Love it

prettybeautiful, thanks. It was very scary! And who knew ear inflammatons could be so painful? But it’s healing well now
Aww thank you, you’re so kind.
Ahleessa, it gave me a right scare, I thought I was going deaf! My hearing is getting better and better each day now, thank you.
Thanks. It’s not a common combo, but I think it’s beautiful.
Oh, I’ so sorry hearing about your ear inflammation! Get well soon, dear! But I’m happy that you don’t have lost your passion for freaking hot eye make ups (thanks, thanks, thanks). I really love this e/s combo as it totally reminds me of sunrise. I miss the sun, btw.

Mylanqolia, thanks hun. I don’t think I could ever lose my passions for bright makeup. I’ll probably be rocking it when I’m 60 and people will think I’m mad lol. But who cares? It’s beautiful and it always manages to cheer me up
I’m glad you like the look, you’re always so nice.
I miss the sun too. Yesterday it tried to come out but soon afterwards it disappeared behind the clouds. I can’t wait for summer to finally arrive!
Connie, thanks. I’m loving that mascara. I’ve finally found something that provides some volume instead than just length.
