Lynn, I feel your pain! It's really hard for me to find a foundation that matches my pale skin, but it must be even harder for you. If you have a few foundations that don't match you well, definitely try to mix them to create the perfect shade for you. :)

wow,,thanx so much for the useful tips!
i have been searching for a way to mix my foundations (one is lighter and the other is darker) and how to contour my face with them.
finding a right shade for my face is quite a task since my under tone is a bit yellow, a bit olive, n sometimes a bit pink depending on the sun exposure! can u imagine that? lol
anyway,,this is some great tips, thanx :D

Vonvon, thanks. I think that powder foundation would be great for contouring :)

I wouldn't know what to fo if I came across a foundation that's too light for me. It only happened once and that shade was white. Not pinkish white, just white, so you can see how pale I am. Thanks for the tip, I'm glad to hear it works well for you. :)

Great post! I don't normally have problem with foundation shades but I found 1 compact powder foundation in my stash which is a shade too dark for my skin. Might use it for contouring.

I do encounter foundation which is lighter than my skin tone. In that case, I apply Guerlain Meteorites all over my face to give me that pink glow.

Dao, that's a technique I haven't tried yet but I heard the results are great. Apparently quite a few makeup artists do that to sculpt and highlight the face while applying foundation. You should write
a tutorial about that. :)
