Name: Spot Lites
Brand: Senna
Size: 0.08oz/2.48g
Price: $22.00

From Senna’s website:
A soft pearly champagne and pearly pinked cream brightens eyes, cheekbones, upper lip, brow bone and eyelids.

What I liked:
– easy to blend
– good pigmentation
– subtle glow
– long-lasting

What I didn’t like:
– the price

A few days ago, I was applying my makeup as usual, when disaster struck. I accidentally dropped my favourite highlighter, Wet n Wild Mega Glo Illuminating Powder on the floor and it broke in one million pieces! Sadly, it was impossible to save it and I had to throw it away. :(

So, after cleaning up the mess, I went through my stash to find another highlighter to use and decided to try Senna Spot Lites. It was sent to me by the company for consideration and it had been laying in my drawer for a while cos I had never used a highlighting pencil before and I wasn’t sure how well it would have worked.

As it turns out, this chubby dual-ended pencil is easy to use and highlights skin beautifully. It has a creamy texture that’s easy to blend with your fingertips. You could also use a brush, but I find I get the best results with my fingers.

On one side, it features a champagne shade and on the other a off-white color, both of which are nicely pigmented and can be used to highlight any part of the face you want.

Both shades give skin a nice and subtle, yet noticeable glow that emphasizes the complexion for hours and hours. I didn’t have to retouch it during the day and because a little goes a long way, I rarely have to sharpen the pencil, so it will last for a long time.

Summary
Overall, I’m loving Senna Spot Lites Highlighting Pencil. It features two pigmented highlighting shades that are easy to apply and give a subtle, yet beautiful glow to skin that lasts all day. However, it is expensive.

Rating: 4/5

This looks so pretty! The pencil would be great on the inner corners of the eyes when doing a smokey eye.

I recently discovered your blog and love it! Thanks for the review!

Vanessa, thank you, I’m glad you enjoy my blog and I hope to see you around often :)

And I agree. I love using it to highlight my browbone or on the inner corners of my eyes, it looks very pretty and opens them up too. :)
