Anastacia, you’re welcome. yeah, 5 fragrances are too much, the scents get all mixed up so your nose can’t distinguish them properly and you may end up with a scent that smells differently from what you initially thought.

Thanks for these tips Gio! I’ve one to add. Carry coffee beans when you shop for perfume. After 2-3 scents, take a sniff of the coffee beans. It’ll clear you nose and you can go on for longer Some counters keep a jar of coffee beans on hand for this purpose.

Tavia, I do the same. If I like a fragrance a lot, I ask for a sample to take home and test it properly. I don’t like testing scents on a piece of paper though cos that may be deceiving as it could smell a bit different on the skin. But testing both on paper and skin is ok

Dao, it’s a shame they don’t always have samples to give out. If they sell a perfume, they should have testers too imo as they help a lot in deciding whether to buy the full size or not. After all, perfumes aren’t cheap and you wanna make sure you’re making the right choice and buy something you’re gonna use and enjoy.

I use to take home a sample from the perfume that impressed me the most and and also test it on a piece of paper and see how long it lasts

I always ask for a sample if I like the perfume. Sometimes, the store has it and give me one (or some), other times I come home empty handed. Having the tiny ampule helps a lot because I may not like it after wearing it at home. .-= Dao´s last blog ..A Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Stalker is Born! =-.
