Dao: unfortunately I can’t. Here you can usually only return cosmetics if they haven’t been opened and you have a receipt. And even then, it depends on the shop policy, some don’t accept returns at all. I think using the wand with another mascara is a good idea. I love the wand, it reaches all the lashes and separates them well, it’s the formula that is really bad!

Eru: yes, they do but I was hoping a cheaper option would be just as good. But for what I paid for it, I might just as well have bought the Givenchy mascara, it surely would have been money better spent.

Anastasia: I know, I couldn’t believe it either. Apparently it doesn’t cost much all over the world, except here. Typical! And there is no way I’m throwing it away after what I paid for it, I’m going use it all up, even if I don’t like it that much!
I usually just wipe any excess off the wand, which prevents the mascara from clumping and making a mess, but that provides a very natural look. I wouldn’t really mind it if the mascara didn’t cost that much, but for what I paid I expected better.
I’ll try using it on top of another mascara, thanks, hopefully that’ll provide more volume which is the main thing I look for in a mascara. But I just hate having to find a way to make it work. Mascaras shouldn’t be this messy and difficult to use.

It is clumpy, and hard to use and can be messy, but with practice you can get good control. Because of its tendency to stick the lashes together, I first use a primer on my lashes, and then I use a mascara which fans them out – like any big brush mascara, although I’m using Bourjois Liner Effect.

Immediately after I go over with this, it curls them a little and adds a lot more volume and definition, and if I angle the brush right I can use it to separate out any mess, but I do have to pinch clumps off the ends.

Don’t throw it away, try it over the top of another mascara which leaves your lashes fanned out but thin, and you might like it more.
