Looks: a natural splash of green

Hello ladies,

I’ve finally got round to doing an EOTD with Lumiere eyeshadow pigments. Well, actually I only used one, Honey brown, a beautiful reddish brown, and as you can see the color is very pigmented but still very wearable. These pigments are perfect if you want to wear colorful shades that aren’t too bright and dramatic.

I also used NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigment in Lime, which is a very pretty light green that I rarely use because I hate the packaging! I know I should transfer the product to a jar but I don’t have any free at the moment and I can’t be bothered to buy one just for that.

Here’s the look, hope you like it:

Products used:
- Urban Decay Primer Potion
- NYX Ultra Pearl Mania pigment in Lime
- Lumiere eyeshadow in Honey Brown
- Barry M Dazzle Dust #65 green iridescent
- L’Oreal Telescopic Explosion mascara

Directions:
- Apply Urban Decay Primer Potion all over lid as a base.
- Using E.L.F. eyeshadow brush, apply a light lime green color (I used NYX pigment in Lime) on the inner lid.
- Apply a reddish gold brown (I used Lumiere Honey Brown) on the rest of the lid and blend.
- Apply a white shade (I used Barry M Dazzle Dust #65 green iridescent) on the browbone to highlight.
- Using MAC 219 pencil brush, apply the lime green shade you previously used on the inner lower lashline and the reddish gold brown on the outer lower lashline. Blend where the colors meet.
- Finish off with mascara.

Wow! A very nice brownish shade…..the kind of shades for the eyes that I have been advised to use lately due to my puffy eyes….to make it appear less puffy….and like the green shade…

Nikki: thank you, you’re so nice :)

Vonvon: I usually don’t like brownish shade that much, but this one has reddish and golden hues that make it really pretty, I love it! And I agree, it may help make your eyes look less puffy.

Dao: thanks! I think so too. It’s wearable and soft but still colorful, perfect for daytime.

That lime green pigment is pretty! You should try your local craft store Gio. I’ve found a pack of jar in a variety of sizes and its only $4! (: This is such a pretty and subtle look hun. I like!

It’s lovely, Gio! Very “Summer turning into Autumn”! Like a leaf! And it suits the colour of your eyes perfectly!

Dee: thanks hun, I’m glad you like it. Wow, that’s a great deal. I’ll try the craft store, although I hate having to buy a jar in the first place. When I buy a product I expect to use it straight from the packaging, not having to fork out more money to buy a jar and transfer it in there. It’s ok if you buy samples that come in plastic bags, but full sized products should have better and more practical packaging.

Anna: aww, thank you, you’re so sweet! I think it’s a nice look for the change of season :)

You have the most beautiful eye color, Gio! It’s amazing how your eyes look more green just adding a pop of color on the inner corners. Very pretty :D

Finally some green inspirations. Because I have green eyes I don’t use green eyeshadows so much but I love your makeup and this green shimmery shade, it’s beautiful on you.

Thanks Tavia. Green is my favourite eyeshadow color, I use it all the time. I know you shouldn’t use eyeshadows that are the same shade as your eyes but I don’t like following the rules when it comes to makeup and I think some green shadows can make green eyes pop even more. Let me know how it comes out if you decide to try it :)
