What I didn’t like:
- can’t think of anything

Last week I raved about the Lumiere Beauty Bar Eye Pigments and mentioned that I’m trying more things from the brand. Today I’m gonna talk about the product that impressed me the most: the Blushing Bronzer. Just like the eyeshadows, these are available in lots of pretty shades.
The one I have is Sugarberry. It is a medium dusty mauve, not too red and not too pink. The finish is mostly matte with very subtle, almost undetectable, shimmer. Lumiere describes the color as ideal for fair skintones, but when I first saw the color in the pot, I was afraid the color would be too dark for my pale skin. I was wrong: it applies quite sheerly but you still need to use a light hand with it.
The powder is very soft and easy to blend. SugarBerry looks very natural on the skin and is flattering on pale complexions. I prefer to use it as a blush, but it would make a nice bronzer for pale-skinned people. Although it doesn’t make me look tanned, I like to use it for contouring my nose and cheekbones as, unlike most bronzers, it doesn’t make me look muddy.
Another thing that impressed me was the staying powder. The blush stayed put for most of the day and only started fading a little in the evening. And did I mention these are fairly cheap? The full size jar is circular, with a screw-on lid and a sifter, contains 4mg of product and costs $12. And because you only need to use very little product, it will last for ages. In alternative, you can also try the blushes by purchasing sample bags (that contains 1/4 teaspoon of product) for just 1.00 each!
Summary
Overall, I love this blush/bronzer. It applies easily, giving a natural look with a matte finish and just a slight hint of shimmer. It has a nice color payoff and lasts for hours.
Rating: 4.5/5

Awww….I got a mineral powder blush(not sure if it’s Lumiere or Everyday Minerals) from my friend a few weeks ago. Yet to try them but after reading your review, might want to do so now…May be when I go out later…:)
Did I tell you why I don’t prefer to use loose powder cosmetics? Just being a paranoid that there’ll be tiny powder particles floating around in the air and that my little girl might inhale them….not very good for a little girl’s lungs and health, in general….my little OCD here…

Gorgeous color! This sounds like a great blush knowing it stayed most of the day.

Nikki: you’re welcome. I was surprised by the staying power. Blushes don’t usually stay on this long on me but this one does
Vonvon: let me know how you like the blush
I know what you mean, I wondered about that too before starting using mineral makeup. Some ingredients can be dangeorus when inhaled, but only in very high concentrations. But ingredients are usually tested to make sure they are safe if inhalation should happen and if any cosmetics particles should be floating around it would be in very tiny quantities, so I wouldn’t be too concerned about it. But I know that when you have kids, you may never be too careful. And there are lots of pressed powders cosmetics that work just as well anyway.
Ahleessa: the color is very pretty. It looks dark in the pot but it’s actually very wearable and the staying power is impressive.
