loreal nutri gloss masque 02

I’m a big fan of the L’Oreal Elvive Nutri-Gloss range. The conditioner is my HG, so when I saw this mask, which is basically an intensive conditioning treatment, on sale I decided to try it.

The mask is pink in color and has a fairly thick, creamy consistency. It smells like the other products in the range: sweet and strong, but not overpowering.

The instructions are simple. Wash your hair as per normal, lightly pat it dry with a towel, then apply the mask. Unlike most masks, which need to stay on hair for 15-20 minutes, this one needs to be left on hair for just one minute, making it ideal to use it in the shower.

It is pretty easy to rinse off and, when I dried my hair, I was really surprised at how soft and shiny it was! I wouldn’t say it was mirror-shine, but I did notice a difference in how my hair looked. I also feel it provides more shine when used with the other products in the range. My only gripe with this product is that, with prolonged use, it can weight hair down a bit.

The mask contains Behentrimonium Chloride, which is a wax-like substance that has conditioning and antistatic properties to control fly-aways. It also includes Cetyl Alcohol, which can be derived from coconut oil and Stearyl Alcohol, both of which are fatty alcohols. They are used to soften hair and leave it tangle-free.

The mask comes in a round pink tube which contains 200ml of product. Overall, the packaging is simple but eye-catching, at least for me. Anything in pink is sure to grab my attention!

Summary
Overall, I think this is a good mask. It conditions hair leaving it soft, shiny, tangle-free and smelling lovely. However, it can weight hair down.

Rating: 4/5

Oh I loved this range! I used the shampoo and conditioner, though right now I don’t know why I stopped? Always remembered it for the pink product and the wonderful smell. :D I think I just might pick this range up again! Though did you find the shampoo a little drying? I vaguely remember needing the conditioner almost immediately because the shampoo dried my hair out.

Very pretty, I like the pink! I try to stay away from L’Oreal products since they weigh my curls down quite a bit. What hair type do you have Gio? Great review as always!

I used to wash my hair with L’Oreal when I was a kid and it was the glossiest hair ever. I haven’t used the new ones lately but they are really affordable.

maybe you can try the one with Citrus?
i used the shampoo and it’s much lighter than the older version.

i love Elseve range of shampoo, conditioner n masque! Affordable drugstore brand :D

After I finish my Tsubaki, I think I’ll be switching to Loreal back ^_^

Renee: I like L’Oreal hair products and this is my fave range. The products make my hair very shiny and the smell is lovely :)
I’ve used the shampoo for years (can’t remember why I stopped either lol) but I honestly didn’t find it dying. But then my hair is very oily and doesn’t usually get dry.

Dee: that’s a shame, L’Oreal hair products usually work very well for me. I have very thin and fine hair, which is very oily too. This masks weights my hair down a bit, but only with prolonged use, hence why I don’t use it often.

Dao: the price is one of the reasons why I love this range. I get shiny, soft and wonderful-smelling hair without breaking the bank :)

Plue: I think L’Oreal makes some of the best drugstore hair products on the market. They have always worked well for my hair.
The new line with Citrus sounds really interesting. I think I’ll try it after I ran out of my old version of the products. :)
