Do you copy other people’s looks?
Beautiful With Brains says: I look at other people’s looks for inspiration, esp for color combinations when I’m stuck in a rut. But I very rarely copy looks down to the last detail, I like to change them a bit and make them my own.

I do, but not totally. Since my eyes are so distinctive, the looks always end up not resembling the original

I do and I don’t. I like looking at people’s looks to get ideas of what colors work and what new techniques I can learn. To be honest, it’s hard for me to copy people’s look when they use more than 3 eyeshadows. I never understood why people build color over color on each other. :X

Dao: but you have beautiful eyes hun and even though the looks may not resemble the originals, they still look great on you!
Ahleessa: I do that when a color is sheer and I want to make it pop. But if the shades you’re using is pigmented then I don’t really see a point in doing it. I look at other people’s look for the same reasons.
Nicola: I agree with you. Copying down to the last detail can be boring sometimes and it’s really fun to add your own touch and personality to a look.
Anastacia: and you’re doing a geat job! I’ve seen your looks and they’re amazing! Keep them up!
I LOVE copying looks. not down to every detail but when I see a look, I would save it and try it on myself to see how it looks. the end results may not be the same (after all, I have Asian features and I try to mimic looks done on western features) but still interesting

Connie, copying looks can be fun. I save looks to copy them too but never down to the last detail.
And even though your looks may not be identical to the originals, you always manage to do an amazing job!
