From Labello’s website:
This new formula makes your lips delicious, kissing them with a fruity-fresh strawberry taste. Star Fruits Strawberry covers your lips with glossy shine, over a subtle, red-toned glow.

What I liked:
- moisturizes lips
- very shiny with just a hint of color
- the scent
- the packaging

What I didn’t like:
- I honestly can’t think of anything

If you are a regular reader of my blog, then you know that I am a lip balm addict. I have tried several brands throughout the years and although their lip balms were good, I always went back to Labello.

Not only they moisturize my lips very well, but Labello lip balms are available in lots of types and flavours. My fave is the Strawberry one, which is part of the Star Fruits collection that includes fruity and glossy lip balms.

Star Fruits Strawberry Lip Balm is red in color and has a smooth, although a bit slippery, texture. It moisturizes lips leaving them soft for a few hours. It is very glossy but not sticky nor heavy and provides just a slight pink with a hint of red color and lots and lots of shine. And it has a sweet fruity scent too which smells gorgeous!

The packaging is simple but pretty. The tube is a bit bigger than most lip balm packagings (it contains 4.4g), red and has pictures of strawberries. Very cute!

The moisturizing properties of the lip balm are due to several emollients. Ricinus Communis (Castor Oil) is an oil derived from the castor bean which forms a barrier on the skin that binds water in. Although it can have a sticky feeling on skin, the lip balm isn’t sticky at all.

Octyldodecanol (a fatty alcohol) and Hydrogenated Polydecene (a synthetic polymer) also have emollient properties: they gives skin a soft and smooth appearance.

The lip balm also includes Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), which is derived from the seeds of the karite tree. It forms a barrier on the skin preventing water loss and retaining moisture. In addition, it reduces the appearance of dry, rough patches on skin.

Summary:
I love this lip balm! It moisturizes lips wells and provides a wet and shiny look with just a hint of color.

Rating: 5/5

It reminds me of the Nivea lip balm we have here for some odd reason. I bet it smells good! :)

HealthyandBeauty: I’m glad you and your boyfriend like it too, so does mine. It really is one of the best lip balms I’ve ever tried.

Ahleessa: I think Labello and Nivea are owned by the same company, so that’s probably why they are so similar. I love the smell, it’s fruity and sweet, but not overly-sweet.

It looks a lot like Nivea Lip Care balms, both the packaging and the texture. And it’s pretty affordable too. I can see what you’re addicted to this. ; )

Hanna, I think Nivea and Labello are owned by the same company so they’ probably pretty much the same thing. This is one of my fave lip balms and the one that I reach to most often, I love everything about it: the texture, the smell, the packaging, the price and it moisturizes my lips very well.
