Ana, I don't think you have to exfoliate first but that's recommended as it would help the active ingredients penetrate the skin better. While I noticed my lips appeared a bit bigger, I think their products are just very expensive shiny and moisturizing treatments. At least this one is. I would just use lip balm and lip gloss regularly and would get the same effect for a lot cheaper.

For what you're looking for, this product would be good. It's very moisturizing and has a slight plumping effect. But I honestly don't feel like recommending it because it's way overpriced for what it actually is.

I agree, collagen is another substance that has great properties but not when applied topically. Unfortunately people don't know that, so companies just put the ingredient in to attract more customers.
Hyaluronic Acid would be a great moisturizing ingredients but not in the very low concentrations found in this product! The active ingredients are just the usual skin-conditioning agents that can b found in most products at much cheaper prices.

I've wanted to try a lip fusion gloss or something for ages. I wonder if you're supposed to exfoliate your lips before using their coloured plumping gloss products? I wouldn't bother if that were the case, since exfoliating my lips makes them look bigger to me, anyway.

Since I got my lip pierced, it's a lot harder to exfoliate my lips, so I'm on the look out for something that will make them soft and conditioned and look a wee bit plumper so I don't have to take the ring out (It's a pain to get back in). But I don't want to look like Angelina, I think she looks like she was stung by a bee.

Applying collagen onto the lips cannot, I imagine, actually do anything. Collagen supplements are nice because evidently, the more your body has of it to use, the better, but the quantities used suggest to me they just put it in to be able to say they did. Hylaluronic acid can supposedly retain 1000x its own weight in water, so is great for moisturising from within, but is utterly worthless if you don't drink water, which I don't. Another one of those things best taken internally, in my opinion.

I know what you mean. Once the press has decided a celeb is the next best thing they shove it down our thorats that we have to be like them. I don't have anything against Angelina, she's a beautiful woman and a good actreess, it's just the way the media works that I don't get. They're trying to make us all look the same and I don't like that.

That's great that you won a Levis tee! Hopefully cosmetics will follow soon. :)

Well to be honest, I've been wondering why too. The thing is, certain women of certain races in certain continents have had lucious lips for decades, but they were never deemed as the 'sex-symbol'. But just bcoz it's THE Angie Jolie, the A-list Hollywood star, suddenly bee-stung lips are the ultimate sexy lips. Isn't that kinda...racist? Sorry I'm just rambling here. ;P

Yay thanks for that! I've had my fair share of winning some contests from the mags n comics I read. The last time I won was on Feb, which I won a Levis cotton tee from my fave mag. No fancy, expensive cosmetics so far.

You're welcome Hanna! To be honest I don't understand why everyone want lips like Angelina's. Yes, she has very pretty lips but I prefer medium-sized ones. And I'd rather be me than trying anything to look like someone else.

I couldn't beliebe it when I won, I usually never win anything. Hopefully you'll win something soon too :)

Nikki: yes, it makes a difference but the price is just too expensive. I feel they charge so much because of the collagen nano-technology claims and they aren't even proved!

Hanna_Hullabaloo: but you have very nice lips, Hanna! I agree with you, better focus on other features that spend so much on a lip plumper!

Nic nic: Thanks. I'm not sure if I like the result but it does plump a bit. It'd better do for what they charge lol.

Valley Girl: you'e welcome. I have to admit it's one of the best lip plumpers on the market but isn't worth the price tag. It's basically a hydrating treatment and that's how it plumps lips. They probably charging so much because of the collagen nanotechnology and hyaluronic acid claims but these ingredients are present in such low concentrations, they don't really do much. If you use chapstick regularly and a lipgloss you'd probably get the same results.

Citrine: the price is way too high and when you look at the ingredient list and realise thy charge so much for exaggerated and unproven claims... I'd rather stick to chapstick and lipgloss.
I'm not sure I like the way it plumped my lips either, they look more swollen than plumper to me but maybe I just have to get used to see my lips like that..
Big lips are nice, but personally I'd rather have medium-sized ones. I think they're prettier.

When I saw the price I was like: "OMG 50 cheeseburgers..."

Anyway, if I can pick, I would rather have not-to-big delicate looking lips (with cute cupid's bow) instead of duo sausages ones because Chinese consider cherry sized lips the prettiest...

But big mouth can be good when you have too many lip gloss lying around...Anyway, I will deal with what I have
