After Estee Lauder (Turbolash) and Lancome (Oscillation), now Prescriptives is releasing a vibrating mascara too. Motor Eyes Mascara is said to add volume, lift and curl lashes without flaking, smudging or clumping. It is available at www.prescriptives.com and counters nationwide and retails at $32.00.

Are you always wondering when it’s time to reapply your sunscreen again? Developed by a nuclear physicist, UVSunSense wristband ($7.89 for a pack of 7) monitors exposure to the harmful sun rays.
Just apply a SPF of 15 or higher and put the orange wristband on your arm: it will turn purple when exposed to the sun. When the band is no longer purple, it is time to reapply sunscreen and once you reach the maximum level of safe sun exposure, the words “APPLY SUNSCREEN TO THIS SIDE” are no longer clearly visible and you’d better get back indoors!

wow another vibrating mascara!
I really liked the Oscillation (got it for free – hence I like it more!) but the formula smudges. I wonder how this one will do? I might just reuse the wand with another formula. Are those wristbands reusable? Looks like it’d be a great thing for kids.
nikki: yes, I think that’s the new mascara trend and we’ll see more and more vibrating ones soon.
Danielle: lucky you for getting it for free. I haven’t tried any vibrating mascaras yet, I’m too scared I’d poked myself in the eye lol. But I’ve tried definicils by Lancome and that smudged a bit too.
As for the wristbands, they’re disposable and shouldn’t be reused. Here’s what the UVsunsense website says: “A partially-used band, when re-exposed to the sun, starts monitoring UV rays from the point it was at when you last took it out of the sunlight. Use only one band a day per person, and then discard it.”
