Name: Nature’s Minerals Foundation Brush
Brand: The Body Shop
Price: £14.65

From The Body Shop’s website:
A high-density foundation brush, designed to ensure just the right amount of The Body Shop Nature’s Minerals Foundation SPF 25 is captured between the bristles, providing a smooth, even application.

What I liked:
- soft and dense bristles
- picks up a lot of product
- doesn’t shed nor bleed

What I didn’t like:
- brush case

The Body Shop Kabuki foundation brush is made from synthetic hair and has a domed shape. The bristles are dense, really soft and feel silky against my skin, not scratchy at all. The brush is perfect to apply mineral makeup: it picks up a lot of powder, gives good coverage and even fits the contours of my face.
I’ve been using the brush for a few months and wash it regularly: I didn’t experience any shedding or bleeding and, if you take proper care of it, this brush would last for years.

The brush comes with its own little plastic bag. While this makes it easier to travel with the brush, it can fall out of it quickly or get mangled if you put it in a bag.

Summary:
Overall, the quality of this brush is excellent. The bristles are dense but very soft and pick up just the right amount of powder. It’s also great to apply makeup in those harder to reach places like the sides of my nose. In addition, the brush doesn’t shade nor bleed. The case it comes with isn’t very practical, though.

Rating: 4.5/5

When The Body Shop still had a shop in town, I tried the brushes out and they are really soft! The texture is similar to that of Eco Brush but more expensive, I guess. Synthetic brushes do not shed and last for a really long time. I’m glad you bought this brush.

I have this too and it’s a pretty good brush! I think it’ll work great with stick foundations too but I’m yet to try

Nikki: this is the softest kabuki brush I’ve ever trid and I love that it’s so dense. It’s definitely a great brush!

Dao: TBS really makes some great brushes and I’m really glad I got this too. My bf was trying to convince me not to buy it cos he thought it was too expensive lol. But the quality is excellent and will last for ages, so it’s worth every penny.

Connie: I’ve never thought of using this for stick foundation, but I think it could work too. I’ll definitely try it :)

Citrine: this is the softest kabuki I’ve ever used, I love it! I don’t have thei blusher brush, but I checked it out at the shop and that’s very soft too. I think it would work really well.

Lydia: me too!

Ahleesa: you’re welcome. It’s really a great brush and I would recommend it to anyone :)

Does this brush ever pick up too much powder? With its high density it seems like it would. Have you used any of their other brushes? I’ve been wanting to buy their retractable blush brush. Also, do you think there is any differences in their foundation, blush, and bronzer brush? Personally I don’t see the difference and I think its a marketing ploy.

ToTheSunnySide, this has never picked up too much powder, not for me at least. I’d say the dense bristles pick up the right amount of powder to give your face a medium and even coverage. I haven’t tried any of their other brushes yet, but if they are like this one, then they’re pretty good!

The foundation and blush brush look practically identical to me, the only difference is in the price. The blush one is £14.00 instead than £15.00, so I’d just get the cheaper one and use it for both foundation and blush. The bronzer brush instead looks like it has less dense bristles so it should pick up less powder for a lighter coverage. Of course, if you’re careful with the foundation brush, you could get the same result with it.
