Name: Sumptuous
Brand: Estee Lauder
Price: €26.00

From Estee Lauder’s website:
Unprecedented Bold Volume™ formula has ultra light, lash-thickening fibers. Lifts and plumps even sparse lashes into big, lush lashes that are all lightness and flirtatious curl. Exclusive BrushComber™ thickens like a brush. Defines like a comb. Wraps your entire lash in air-light volume. Lashes soar with 360° lift and curl. The look: daringly full, sensuously curved, all-out seductive lashes.

What I liked:
- thickens
- gives lashes a natural look
- easy to remove
- the packaging

What I didn’t like:
-doesn’t add much lenght
- clumps
- smudges
- the price

A while ago, the Italian Estee Lauder website put up a form to request a sample of their Sumptuous mascara. Needless to say, I filled it in and waited. The mascara arrived pretty quickly and I was so curious I tried it on straight away.

The mascara is a rich black with a wet and lightweight formula and goes on easily. It provides some volume, a bit of lenght and although, it lifts my lashes, it doesn’t hold the curl for long. I’d say this is a good daytime mascara that makes lashes look very natural, but if, like me, you’re looking for a product that  provides a false lashes effect, then skip this.

The brush is very easy to work with: bigger at the base and slim at the tip to reach all those tiny lashes. The mascara clumps a bit and I also experienced minimal smudging. The staying power is impressive, though: it lasts all day. And it’s very easy to remove as well.

The mascara comes in a simple gold tube, which looks very elegant and classy.

Summary:
Overall, I was a bit disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, this is a good and basic daytime mascara that gives some volume and lenght and is perfect for those who want a natural look, but nothing more. The mascara is clumpy and smudges, although not that much to actually bother me. It lasts all day and is easy to remove. However, once my sample runs out, I don’t think I’ll buy this as there are lots of mascaras out there that deliver the same results for a lot less money.

Rating: 3/5

i dislike products that do not deliver its claims, or not even close. i think maybeline has much more decent mascaras with 1/4 of the price

Danielle: company always make exaggerate claims. The mascara lifts the lashs but not that much and the curl doesn’t last that long eitehr :(

prettybeautiful: I hate those products too. I wouldn’t have been disappointed if they had said this mascara gave a natural look, but they promised so much and didn’t deliver as expected.
