What it is
Apricot Kernel Oil (Prunus armeniaca), is a light but rich, colorless oil pressed from the kernel of the apricots.

What it does
Apricot Kernel Oil is an occlusive skin conditioning agent. It absorbs quickly without leaving any oily residue. It contains fatty acids (oleic acid and linoleic acid) and vitamins A and E. It moisturises, soothes irritated skin, prevents dehydration and slows down the aging process. It is suitable for all skin types, but is especially good for mature, sensitive, dry or inflamed skin.
Apricot Kernel oil is often used as a carrier oil and, when mixed with other oils, helps them spread.

Side effects
Apricot Kernel Oil is mildly comedogenic. Allergies are very rare, but can occur.
