Name: Little Round Pot Blush
Brand: Bourjois
Size: 2.5g
Price: £6.25

From Bourjois’s website:
Softer and more velvety thanks to a new pearl effect and a skilful blend of pigments. The baked texture is transformed on the skin into a light ultra-fine pressed powder, that is easy to apply and blends impeccably. One stroke of the brush reveals the irresistable aroma of rose scented powder.

What I liked:
- beautiful shades
- very pigmented
- gives a beautiful and glowy flushed look
- long-lasting
- the price

What I didn’t like:
- it hardens
- the packaging
- the brush

Bourjois Little Round Pot Blush is available in 12 shades that have three different types of finishes: shimmery, matte and pearly. The shade I have is Rose D’Or, which is a beautiful true, rosy pink with golden shimmers that aren’t over the top.

The texture is nice and soft, although slightly gritty  in some shades. It goes on smoothly and is easy to blend. The color is quite pigmented and you only need a little to get a nice flushed look. But you have to be careful when applying it, as it is very easy to go overboard with this. It has a lovely rose scent and lasts for most of the day. I rarely need to do any touch-ups.

Because the blush is baked and not pressed, it tends to harden after a while, but this problem can easily be resolved by removing the top layer with a toothbrush. That way, the blush is just as good as new.

The blushes come in a plastic, round domed shaped container. The color of the packaging matches that of the blush inside so it’s easy to identify the shade you want. The blush comes with a mirror and a brush, both of which are useless. The mirror is just too tiny. And while I like the curved shape of the brush, which fits the contour of your cheeks, the bristles are just too thin and too hard and they scratched my face a bit. And there isn’t a compartment for the brush, so it just sits on top of the blush.

Summary:
Overall, I really love this blush. It’s very pigmented and a little goes a long way. It gives my cheeks a beautiful flushed look that last almost all day. However, it hardens after a while and the inbuilt mirror and brush are useless.

Rating: 4/5

The color is really cute! I think it’ll suit my skin tone but Sephora no longer carries this brand :(

i was so into bourjois some year ago and had to have almost every blush colours that existed! you know i am an OCD case so…

but then they turned hard and i had to drop them. i just couldn’t stand scratching the surface for pigments.

and the brush isn’t my cup of tea. never had any good use.

i think these mini ones are great for traveling as they are cheaper and good for an emergency. beautiful colours though.

Dao: I’m sorry about that. Bourjois isn’t available here either. I have to buy stuff online or when I go on holiday abroad. But I hope you’ll manage to get this blush somehow, it is really a gorgeous color. I absolutely love this blush and plan to get more as soon as I have the chance.

jojoba: scarping the surface is really an hassle, but I love the color so much, I just have to put up with it I guess.
I don’t like the brush either, but then I never like brushes that come with a product, the quality is always very poor. It’s a shame though cos I like the shape of the brush. I could have been reallly good if only the bristles had been softer and thicker.

The brush is crap, but the blush is lovely. Too bad it hardens after a while. I had to scrape at it to get more colour.

Tine: I hate that it hardens. It’s a hassle having to scrape at it but the colors are so beautiful and the blush so inexpensive that i think it’s worth it.

Anastacia: I love pink blushes as well and this one is absolutely gorgeous!

I actually have 5 of those little jar blusher and shadow, two blushers cracked completely and so was one eye shadow…I this they are just way too small and the design are too flimsy…

I wish they come with a pan so I can stick it inside the Stila aluminum compact…this shade is so pretty…

I’m sorry yours broke. The hinges look like they could easily break, but it has never happened to me yet. Bourjois should really try and improve the packaging, though.

I have ‘em but I haven’t tried it on my face yet. The colors that I got were rather matte (I didn’t have much of a choice). They’re definitely pigmented but I can’t STAND the scent!

The scent can really be a put off for some people. It’s quite strong when you smell it from the packaging but I can’t really smell it once the blush is applied. But I think Bourjouis should really get rid of the scent cos it’s a shame some people can’t use such a great product because of it.
