Brooklyn, Bond no.9′s latest offering, is a woody, spicy-filled oriental fragrance, which is exactly the kind of scent I’m always drawn to. It is described as “unisex with a masculine attitude”, which I think is very accurate. There aren’t flower notes and it isn’t a sweet scent. At first it is woody and somewhat spicy. The heart and base notes are woody too and dry, but not too much, sharp and crisp. Overall, this is a classic, romantic and sexy fragrance.
Brooklyn has sillage, which means that it doesn’t cling to the skin but rather diffuses, leaving a trail of scent behind, which lasts all day.
The edgy bottle is decorated with urban and colorful graffiti. It really captures the true essence of Brooklyn, home to a century of strivers, dreamers and Nobel laureates that is reinventing itself into an edgy metropolis where graffiti-ists, designers and aspiring editors live.
Summary:
Overall, this is a gorgeous woody and oriental scent that lasts all day and is not overpowering. The packaging is cool, colorful and edgy. It is quite pricey, but definitely worth checking out.
