Polybutene is a light colored and sticky liquid.
What it does
Polibutene is a lubricant, which makes skin feel smoother to the touch, and a binding agent, preventing separation of water and oils in a product. It is also a viscosity increasing agent.
In addition, polybutene is used in lip products as an emollient and shine agent.
Side effects
Polybutene can cause eye irritation.

Good to know, a lot of things make my eyes itch lol
I’m sorry to hear that. Unfortunately lots of ingredients used in cosmetics products can cause irritation. But if you know which ingredients are causing the problem, you can avoid them.
