longlasting

Keeping your makeup stay put all day can be a challenge, esp in the hot summer months. But with the right products, your makeup will last all day:

Moisturizer: a moisturizer will not only plump and hydrate your skin and allow foundation to go on more smoothly but it will also help your makeup stay on longer.

Primers: these are products that prepare your skin for makeup by  creating a protective base for the makeup to adhere to to make it last longer. They create a smooth surface, control shine and absorb oil and therefore they are esp good for people with oily or combination skin. Eyeshadow primers not only make your makeup last longer, but also make the color look more intense and prevent smudging and creasing.

Face powder: it sets the foundation, making it last longer, evens out your skin and conceals minor blemishes. In addition, it also prevents shine and gives skin a matte finish.

Lips: filling in lips with a lip liner or applying a layer of foundation on the lips will make lipstick stay on longer. Another trick is to use a thin layer of face powder (powder foundation is ok as well) on the lips after you applied the lipstick.

Waterproof mascara: they don’t run nor smudge.

Oil blotters: they soak away excess shine and oil from your face without removing your makeup.
