From Benefit’s website:
Signs of stress & fatigue are a thing of the past with this innovative formula. This concentrated, creamy, blendable concealer instantly brightens & camouflages all-in-one. The three brightening neutral shades give every gal correction perfection.
What I liked:
- great coverage
- conceals and brightens the eye area
- doesn’t settle into fine lines
- the packaging
- the spatula
What I didn’t like:
- not many shades available
- comedogenic

Benefit Erase Paste is available in only 3 shades, so some people may not find one that works for them. I have Fair, the lightest shade available, which is pink/salmon-toned.
The concealer is very thick and the first time I used it I had problems blending it. I had to tug a lot! But I found that, if you warm the concealer up with your fingers or on the back of your hand, blending is a lot easier. I also prefer to use a concealer brush with this as, that way, it looks more natural. The coverage is excellent and the concealer doesn’t settle into fine lines. It does a great job in covering up my dark circles completely and brightens the eye area, too. But you need to be careful and only use a very tiny amount or it can look cakey. The concealer lasts about 12 hours, esp if you set it with powder.
It also covers blemishes and pimples well, although I rarely use it for that for two reason. First, I think it may be a bit too bright for other parts of the face. In addition, the product contains Isopropyl Palmitate, which is comedogenic. Definitely not something I would put on my pimples! Although I have to say the product hasn’t caused me any breakouts so far.
In addition, it can also be used as a face brightener but I haven’t tried that yet simple because I prefer to use products with a lighter consistency for that.
The packaging is very cute. The jar is not very big, but since you need to use a very small amount, the product will last for months. I also love that it comes with a little spatula to dig the product out as I wouldn’t really like to dip my finger into the pot for hygienic reasons. It also contains a little manual with instructions on how to use the concealer properly.

Summary:
Overall, I like this concealer. The coverage is really good: it hides my dark circles perfectly and brightens the eye areas as well. However, the texture is really thick and it takes a couple of tries before figuring out how to apply the product without making it look cakey and unnatural. And while, it is really good at hiding blemishes, it is also comedogenic. The packaging is really cute and I love the spatula that comes with it so I can use the product without contaminating it with my fingers.

only 3/5? dang.. I was expecting better outta this. *sighs* I know I didn’t like boi-ing.
To be honest, if I had to judge this only as an undereye concealer, i would have given it 4 out of 5 as this is REALLY good at covering dark circles. But, due to the heavy texture and teh fact that it is coemdogenic, I don’t think it’s suitable for other parts of the face, which was disappointing for me as I like using my concealer everywhere I need it.
I think Benefit always comes out with cute packaging. I think their blushes are very pretty. As concealer, I prefer like pen type or something that you can use it easily then scoop it out. But it sounds great that it can cover dark circles perfectly
I’m really fair, and that “lightest” color wouldn’t work for me. Also, that little spatula thing is kind of weird; do you dip the product out of it with a brush, maybe? It’s so hard to find a great concealer!
Wow! thanks for the review, I do warm most concealers at the back of my hand too, tugging is really difficult! thanks for the wonderful review, I wonder if I own one, if I could finish it up! lol
Digital Angel: Benefit products have the cutest packagings ever. it’s a good thing I don’t have a counter near me or I would buy everything lol. I prefer concealers that you can use directly instead of picking them up with a spatula, but this covers dark circles so well that I don’t really mind about that.
Katherine: finding a good concealer is hard, esp if your fair-skinned. I’m pale too and most concealers don’t have the right shade for me either. Benefit should really consider adding more shades to this product.
I use the spatula to scoop some product out of the jar and then put it on my hard to warm it a bit. Then I use a concealer brush to apply it to my eye area. I usually prefer products that you can apply directly on the skin, but the extra step is worth considering how well this covers dark circles.
Nikki: you’re welcome. I hate tugging! But it can easily be avoided by warming the product up a litte. I’m actually worried I won’t be able to finish it up lol. When I first saw the jar I was a bit disappointed cos it was smaller than I expected. But I’ve ben using it for a while and there’s hardly a dent in it!
i didnt like the erase paste at all. i bought it for under eye coverage. i put on small amount and usually follow it by my bronzer and it just wiped off on my bronzer brush and never set. i tried using power to set it, and waiting a longer time and it still didnt seem dry and smeared right off.
Sara, that’s a shame, I’m sorry. I’m not sure why yours won’t set as I don’t have that problem. It’s a pain to blend, and I have to be careful to apply just a very tiny bit that I previously warmed in my hands, but once I do that, it sets ok on me.
