I love strawberries. Not only they are delicious to eat, but they also moisturize and exfoliate skin. In fact, they contain antioxidants, vitamin C and a natural acid that helps remove dead skin cells. Here is a homemade exfoliant recipe you can make with strawberries:
Strawberry exfoliant for your hands and feet
Ingredients:
- about 8-10 strawberries
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil (in alternative you can use apricot oil)
- 1 teaspoon of sea salt
Squash the strawberries until they make a paste.
Then add the oil and sea salt and mix.
Rub the mixture into hands and feet, rinse off and pat dry.
What about you? How do you exfoliate your hands and feet?

love you for all your DIY recipes!!!
I never would have thought! I’ll have to try this. I usually use a foot scrub from Freeman’s or Avon.
jojoba: I’m glad you like them
Toma: I’m sure you’ll love it, it’s a great scrub!
I love strawberry too! (Well, just eating them though…) I usually don’t use delicious food on my skin…I just eat them!
Most of the time I don’t usually exfoliate my hands with anything (I do buy a lot of random product but I don’t bother using them most of the time.) As for feet, there is that st’Ives gentle face scrub that works pretty well…and it’s cheap too.
i love strawberries!
they smell so yummy it’s such a treat to use it on the body as well.
Citrine: I know, I’d rather eat strawberries too than using them as a scrub. It’s so cheap and effective though.
Sab: you’re so right, I agree with you completely
