OMG Barbie love Stila collection! So tell me, did u have this? OMG I’ve been drooling over this babies since January! But too bad, Stila is closing down here in my country. Guess their overpriced products couldn’t survive the global recession.

I’m really lemming all of this but unfortunately we don’t have Stila over here :( Its’ so sad what’s happening to Stila but their prices are just too high for what they offer imo.

I’m from Italy Hanna. Your cousin is lucky to study in England, I love that country, it’s beautiful! And there are so many makeup brands available, unlike here. It’s very sweet of your cousin to get stuff for you! I wish I knew someone who lives there too. :)

You are smart hun!! Yeah, Italy is beautiful but there aren’t many cosmetics brands available here which isn’t grat at all if you’r addictied to makeup!
I really love PUPA, they’re products are really good. I love their mascaras and the eyeshadows are quite pigmented. And the packaging is too cute! Collistar is another brand I like but it’s a bit pricey. I also love Kiko, it’s a drugstore brands and the prices are really cheap. The quality of their products isn’t as good as MAC, but for the price they are really good. Unfortunately they don’t have a store in my town, so I haven’t tried many of their stuff.
What about beauty brands in malaysia? Any good ones?

Hmmm honestly, we don’t have that much of a home-grown cosmetics brands. So far, one brand that’s 100% made in Malaysia is Beautilicious. I haven’t tried any of the products. ;P Well firstly, I’m a lil put off with the price. Apparently as a local brand, it is kinda expensive. But the brand claims that all the products are of good quality.

Other than that, I like Silkygirl. Cheap, and darn good for some of the products. i personally like the powder blusher.

I think I heard about Beautilicious in a blog. Isn’t0 the packaging very similar to those of Too faced and Benefit? Hopefully the quality will be just as good. It’s a shame about the prices though. They shouldn’t be high, at least locally.
I’ve always wanted to try Silkygirl. I keep haring lots of good things about their products.

Beautilicious-Yup it’s a dead ringer of Benefit-meets-Stila, check out the website u’ll know what I’m talking about. it’s such a shame for unoriginal packaging.

Silkygirl- One word of advice though; you got what you pay for, mostly. Hey the products are pretty affordable, so don’t expect too much. But Silkygirl isn’t entirely suck. The lipgloses are OK, at least in my opinion.

It’s a shame they copied the packaging but if the quality of the products is good then it doesn’t bother me that much.
As for Silkygirl, it sounds a lot like Deborah. It’s an Italian drugstore brand that is very hit and miss. That’s why I rarely buy their products. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with a couple of their products, but mostly are average if not bad. The prices are quite cheap, although they’ve been increasing lately :(

Price hike, even for a local brand? That’s too bad. As for Silkygirl, the prices are still mantained. In fact I can get a good deal during sales . I’d really like to try some products from Deborah. ;)

I’m no brand snob. Sure my fave are Benefit, MAC and Stila but since I just can afford to splurge on expensive cosmetics all the time, drugstore brands are my best alternative.

Yep and Pupa has been increasing their prices too. And these brands aren’t on sale often. Sometimes there are 3×2 offers or a couple of their products may be on discount but that’s it.

Deborah eyeliners are pretty good and I heard nice things about their new eyshadow trio. I haven’t trid it yet but I’m tempted, the colors look pretty. I don’t think they could be worn without a primer though.

I rarely buy high-end brands. I love them but can’t afford them so I either wait for sales or buy drugstore stuff. Some of them are real gems.
