Hello everyone,
I hope you all had a great New Year. I’ve just got back from London. I went with my boyfriend, Valerio, and his friends and we had a great time. We visited the Tower of London, the Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, the British Museum, The National Gallery and lots more.
Unfortunately I didn’t have much time to check out the sales. Our friends were more interested in sightseeing and visiting museums then going shopping. Don’t get me wrong, I love sightseeing too, but I had already been to London twice so I had already seen most of them. It was nice to visit those places again, though, they are beautiful. But my boyfriend and I managed to so some shopping while our friends visited Saint Paul’s Cathedral and Madame Taussauds. We had already seen the Cathedral and we aren’t interested in waxworks so I just dragged Valerio into every shop that sold makeup lol. I also checked out the new MAC Collections and honestly I barely looked at Dame Edna. Nothing caught my eye and I though the whole collection was rather boring. The Chill collection, instead, confirmed my first impressions. The eyeshadows are subdued and didn’t interest me at all, but the lipglasses are very pretty. I only bought Frozen Dreams from MAC though. I also got other stuff that I’ll show you tomorrow.
Anyway, here are a couple more pix:

Nikki: thanks and Happy New Year to you too! I had a great time and my friends and I took lots of pictures. There is just so much to see and do, you never get bored.
Sab: thanks. London is my fave city in the world, it’s just magical. I hope you get to visit it someday soon, it’s beautiful. But try and go in the summer if you can, it was absolutely freezing!
Jojoba: thank you! I’ve already started writing new blog posts, I’ll publish them very soon.
I had the same thought about the Chill collection and Dame Edna. YOU SHOULD’VE VISITED ME WHAT THE HELL. I lve like 40 minutes away from London! I’d have been your tour guide *SNIFF*
Although actually, I’ve only been there about 5 times so I normally have no idea where I’m going. I know how to find KFC and MAC and that’s all I need.
Did you see Carnaby Street? There’s a MAC and Irregular Choice store there (swoon!) and this winter they had huuuuuuuuuuuuuge snowmen suspended over the street. Last year it was giant paper chains.
You can be my guide next time I go to London!! I definitely want to go there again, hopefully this year but who knows yet? I’ve alrady been there 3 times and I can’t find my way around, I’d probably get lost if I went on my own, but my boyfriend is pretty good at remembering the way we walked (and reading maps lol).
Nooooo I didn’t go yo Carnaby Street! Every year I plan to go there but there just isn’t enought time, there are way too many things to see in London! I visited the MAC counter at Harrods though and also the one at Stanstead airport, that’s where I bought the lipglass. Thought it would be cheaper at the airport, but only just saved a few pence really.
Well hopefully I’ll get my Estée Lauder job and a nice 50% MAC discount ;D Then you can come with me up to the… like special employee shop thingy, and we’ll buy loads!
I’m trying to save up for the Hello Kitty collection. I want *everything*. Did you see Libertys? Libertys is gorgeous around Christmas time, they have amazing edible scultputres of polar bears and HUGE gingerbread houses that look so amazingly crafted. I remember seeing a white chocolate Snow Queen that looked like it’d been made out of clay and stuff. Amaaazing.
I so hope you get that job hun, and not just for the discount. I know you’re not really happy where you are now so I hope this year you’ll be able to find a job you love.
Luckily, I’m not really interested in anything from the HK collection. The packaging doesn’t do anything for me and I’m not keen on the colors either. It’s just very different from what I had expected but maybe once I see it in person I’ll change my mind and buy loads.
Unfortunately I didn’t go to Libertys, which is a shame as it sounds amazing! My friends were not interested in going shopping at all and I cant figure out why. I know there are lots of other iteresting things to see in London but didnt they know there were sales everywhere?! I only visited Harrods but just the makeup and books departments and then it was time to go again and some Boots and Superdrugs near Victoria Station and Oxford Street.
