What it is
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil is obtained by pressing the fleshy pulp that surrounds the avocado pit.

What it does
Avocado oil is rich in vitamins A, B, D and E, lecithin and fatty acids and is deeply absorbed by skin and hair. It has anti-aging properties and increases collagen production in the skin.
It also has moisturizing properties and is especially good for people with dry and mature skin and at treating dehydrated or sun damaged skin. It is nourishing for eczema and psoriasis, helping relieve dryness and itching caused by these conditions.
It is an occlusive skin conditioning agent: it slows evaporation of water from skin.
Avocado oil is really good for your hair as well as it penetrates the hair shaft and softens the scalp.
It also offers light UV ray protection.

Side effects
Allergies to avocado oil are rare, but can occur.
It is mildly comedogenic.
