Name: Aqualia Thermal Light
Brand: Vichy
Size: 40ml
Price: €15,50

From Vichy’s website:
Intensely hydrated, skin feels soothed. It feels supple, refreshed and velvety-soft, free of sensations of tightness all day long. The skin feels more resilient, with increased suppleness and radiance. Formulated for sensitive skin.

What I liked:
- light consistency, absorbs quickly
- isn’t greasy
- skin feels soft
- doesn’t make skin break out
- the packaging

What I didn’t like:
- doesn’t keep skin hydrated all day
- doesn’t do anything for my oily, shiny t-zone

Aqualia Thermal Light is a moisturizer formulated for sensitive skin. I was a bit worried about how well it would work on my combination skin, but, since it promises to hydrate skin for 24 hours which is something we all need, I thought I’d try it anyway.

The moisturiser has a light consistency, almost gel-like and because you only need to apply a very small amount it will last long. The cream absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy at all. It hydrates my skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth but the effect doesn’t last all day and I have some dry patches by the end of the afternoon. It didn’t cause me any breakouts and offers a good base for makeup.

It also doesn’t do anything for my oily t-zone. I apply the moisturizer and after a while my skin is shiny again! I definitely wouldn’t recommend this cream to anyone with combination/oily skin.

The cream comes in a light blue tube and has a mild, pleasant, clean smell that isn’t overpowering at all.

The moisturizer contains glycerin, which attracts water to the skin and hydrates, and silicones which act as water-binding agents and leave skin feeling smooth. It also contains alcohol denat, which can be very drying.

Summary:
This moisturizer is just average. It absorbs quickly and isn’t greasy. It hydrates skin, leaving soft and smooth, but the effect doesn’t last all day. In addition, my oily t-zone starts being shiny again shortly after I apply it.

Rating: 3/5

I have this cream (but the one that comes in a jar) and when I accidentally applied a bit on my eyelids, they became extremelly dry and hurt like hell! I spent a whole month without being able to use eyeshadow before getting rid of the allergy (T.T). Not for me.

That is too bad! And to think that this product is formulated for sensitive people and not giving allergic reactions or irritations! Guess you can never be too sure.

I have an eye infection at the moment (although it wasn’t caused by this cream) and I haven’t worn eyeshadow in 2 weeks and I hate it! I wanna wear makeup again!!

I have acne and due to the benzol peroxide and harsh creams I´m using I sometimes get horrible dry, almost burnt patches on my face. This moisteriser works wonders for me with this. I can use it and I wont get any breakouts and it soothes my sore skin and returns it to normal very quickly. Having acne putting moisteriser on is sometimes daunting as you dont know if your gonna breakout or not, I really like this product as I know it wont make my face worse.

I’m glad this works so well for you Kelly. It just goes to show how different a product can work on different people. It didn’t do anything special for my skin but didn’t make it worse either. But what I really love the most about this moisturizer is that it doesn’t make you break out, I’m always worried about that too.
