Name: D-Blush
Brand: Deborah
Price: €13,50

From Deborah’s website:
Blusher formulated to blend flawlessly into skin and stay on for hours. An amazingly high percentage of light-reflecting micro-beads ensures a silky smooth texture with radiance to spare. Long wearing 3-in-1 formula: sweep blush along the cheekbones for a classic rouge effect, dust over cheeks for a “bonne mine” look – one that says you’re doing what’s best for your skin, or apply lightly over the eyelids and face for an overall glowing complexion. Wet&dry formula: apply wet for deeper, more dramatic colour, or dry for a more natural effect.

What I liked:
- quite pigmented
- gives your cheeks a very natural look
- provides a slightly pearly sheen

What I didn’t like:
- not long-lasting
- the packaging

Deborah D-Blush is available in four color combinations. I was very tempted to get Fuxia Idol, but I already have too many pink blushes so I opted for Mystic brown instead. It has two brown shades, one slightly darker than the other, and a gold one. It can be used, either wet or dry, both as a blush or to highlight the eyes. The colors are quite pigmented, esp the darker brown shade. It gives cheeks a very natural look with a slight pearly sheen. I like to use all the three shades together as that makes my cheeks more glowy than when I use just one of the colors.

Unfortunately, this isn’t long-lasting at all. It fades after a few hours so it needs to be reapplied during the day.

I’m not really fond of the packaging either. I like the fact that the lid is see-through so you can see the colors but the packaging is quite small and my blush brush barely fits into it. It’s ok when I wanna use all the three colors together, but I have to use a small contour brush when I wanna use just one of the shades. In addition, the little brush that comes with it is useless.

Two of the main ingredients of this blush are mica and talc. Mica is used to give shine, but can be irritating and can clog pores. Talc helps to absorb oil and also imparts texture and skin adhesion to cosmetics but can be drying and cause breakouts. It also contains Isopropyl Isostearate, which is comedogenic too. Personally, I’ve used this products for a while now and haven’t had any problems, but I know people who suffered from a breakout when using this blush, so if your skin prone to breakouts or  sensitive, you should avoid this.

Summary:
This blush is just average. It is quite pigmented but gives a very natural look with a very subtle pearly sheen. However, it isn’t long-lasting and could cause breakouts.

Rating: 3/5

yeah, most of the blushes I have aren’t long lasting too! it’s just now I appreciate some blushes that are quite pricey but lasts whole day :)

I have no problem with fading blushes although my skin is oily, which is really strange. The colors look really nice though.

Connie: they’re pretty, aren’t they? I’m disappointd about the staying power but I haven’t found a drugstore blush that lasts all day yet :(

Nikki: you’re right, it’s worth spending more on a blush if it lasts all day. I just wish I could find one that works as well and doesn’t break the bank though.

Dao: really? Lucky you! And I love the colors too, I just wish they lasted more

The blush looks gorgeous. But I prefer pink shades though.

I prefer pinks too but it’s nice to wear another color every now and then.
