I’d been planning on just getting the Little Darlings gloss sets, but now I’m kind of tempted by the Adoring Carmine lip sets, too. I might have to stick them on my list!

I wouldn’t recommend the brush sets to anyone particularly. The brush set brushes are machine-made in China, not hand-made in Japan like their full-size ones, and the quality leaves something to be desired. The bristles aren’t as soft at all.

The best mixture seems to be the Face brushes though, as the 187 and the 168 are great brushes for liquid foundation and contouring. I have the Heritage eye set but I only use the 217 fluff brush – which I bought a softer full size version of – and the 275, and the others don’t really get used.

MAC collections are so tempting aren’t they? I so wish they would release just one holiday collection like everyone else, it would be a lot better for our wallets lol.

And I agree about the brush sets. Those brushes aren’t as good as the full-size ones, but I think they may be good for people who are just starting to get into makeup and need a cheap brush set. Although good brushes are a great investment and last for ages so buying the full-sized one would probably be a better idea.

i still use “some” of my mac eye SE brushes i got last year..
my favs are the 209SE and 252SE, the 217SE is horrible tho.
i can really tell the difference between the MAC full brushes and the holiday collection brush set.

the full ones are 10x better :)

It’s a shame the quality is so different isn’t it? They’re not all that bad full sized ones are soooo much better!
