Hello Silvia. Unfortunately the webiste doesn’t deliver to the USA, but you can always email them and ask where you can get their products. Or if you know anyone in Italy or Spain, maybe they can buy the stuff for you.

I know what you mean, I can’t say no either so that’s way I don’t answer when the Bottega Verde people call, it’s easier. And I’m scared I’m gonna lose my temper with the person I speak too cos it’s not their fault, it’s their boss that tells them to be so pushy!

I’m sorry you have to deal with that, it’s awful when charities do it, that’s not the right way to help people. And it makes you wonder if the money will really go to charity. I’v never heard any of those problems but people often stop me in the street asking for money for charity and give you a small gift in return and they’re so pushy! They just won’t go away! I’m all for supporting charities but I don’t like to give money if I don’t know where it is going.

I hate it when people are so pushy. I also hate it when charities try to make you sign up for a direct debit – I’m all for charity and give money individually to people etc, but I’m not signing a bank contract for it. If a direct debit bounces you get charged £20 by the bank!

I’ve signed petitions before to help only to then get calls trying to strong-arm me into an donation. I’ve even had to say “Sorry but I feel like I’m being pressured” on the phone to someone to make them back off, since I’m not very good at saying no to people and I could never just hang up >.<

Anastasia & Cinthia: thanks for your advice, I will definitely do that next time they call. Not answering the phone is so much easier but this has to stop, it’s driving me mad!

Lydia: I couldn’t believ it itehr! I hate pushy people, don’t they realise they’re just driving customers away?

Jessica: thanks hun. I know what you mean, buying from the store is a lot better! Unfortunately not many brands are available here so I don’t have any choice but buying online most of the time. But I’m never again buying something I can find in shops here.

You should have asked to speak to their supervisor/manager and request to be removed from their calling list. That surely is annoying. I’ve never heard of any company that have done that. It sounds more like a desperate sales tactic to me.

I’m sorry for your bad experience and thank you for sharing it so we could avoid it
