How to wear gold makeup

Gold is very popular this season. It suits any skintone, brings out the glow of the skin making you shine with warmth and instantly adds glamour to a look. Just remember to be careful and not overdo it: a little goes a low way.

Face
Apply a bronzer on your cheeks and then brush on a small amount of gold shimmery powder or highlighter. Use a very finely milled powder and apply it sparingly. This will put light on your face.

Eyes
There are lots of different ways to wear gold eyeshadow. You can wear only gold shadow on your lid and lower lash line. If you want more color you can wear gold on your lid and a deep purple shade on your lower lashline. Another good combination is gold and red. Apply the red shade on your lid and brush a gold eyeshadow on top. If instead you just want to add a touch of gold to your eye make you can try a gold eyeliner. If your skin is very fair use light yellow gold. If your skin is darker use dark bronze shades.

Lips
Gold lipgloss works great for people that have olive or dark skin. Gold looks great over a dark shade of lipstick. You can apply it on your entire lips or just a small amount in the center for a halting effect. If you want to wear a gold lipstick just apply a light coating. This will highlight your lips without covering your natural color.

Body
For a night out, you can apply some moisturizer on your skin and add a touch of gold shimmer powder. Only use very finely milled powder. You won’t look good with big glitters on your skin.
