Inside Katie Holmes makeup bag

Katie Holmes is best known for her role as Joey Potter on “Dawson’s Creek”. She will make her Broadway debut next month in the play All My Sons. Here is what the actress carries in her makeup bag:

ESTEE LAUDER POJECTIONIST HIGH DEFINITION VOLUME MASCARA ($19.50)
Estée Lauder’s technologically advanced ingredients work to thicken, lengthen and define lashes, without weighing them down. A unique and patented brush technology creates the ultimate lash look, with full and seamlessly separated lashes.

BOBBI BROWN SHIMMER BRICK COMPACT in Beige (38$)
This shimmering, brush-on powder creates a candlelight glow. Works well with pink, neutral and peach blush shades.

LAURA MERCIER OIL FREE FOUNDATION in Honey Beige ($42)
It is a layerable, highly pigmented formula to be used only where needed & allows the user to determine the amount of coverage. Contains vitamins A, C & E act as antioxidants to protect the skin from harmful effects in the environment.

GIORGIO ARMANI SHINE LIPSTICK ($25)
Gloss-like shine in a full-color, rich lipstick. The Micro-fil™ formula captures and reflects light leaving lips hydrated and sparkling. #5 mauve and #7 frozen brique are two of Katie’s favourite lip colors.

AVEDA PETAL ESSENCE EYE DEFINER in Lily ($12)
Drawn from jasmine petals and geranium leaves, aromatic flower waxes make this formula creamy, blendable, smooth. Katie says that she doesn’t wear much makeup on her own as she is not very good at it, but when she does she use this eyeliner that is a white glittery thing.

MAC LIPSTICK ($14)
Excellent colour payoff with medium to high frosted shimmer-and-shine finish. Katie loves this in O.

ROSEBUD SALVE ($6)
This multi-purpose lip balm soothes dry lips, calms and heals irritation, and soothes the sting of minor burns. Try dabbing on dry elbows or knees to condition, and relieve dryness. Also an excellent remedy for the treatment of diaper rash.

Dao: she really is beautiful. You’re right, lots of celebs use Rosebud Salve and Laura Mercier foundation as well.

Sab: I agree, neutral colors look gorgeous on her.

Jessica Dee: I agree, she looks great with short hair. I’ve heard great things about rosebud salve, I’ll have to give it a try.

Indian Girl: I’m glad you like the post. I wanna try Aveda eyeliners too!

Do you ever think it’s weird how a lot of incredibly rich people use the same products we do? I always go like “Woah” when I see something I have in my own make-up bag, it re-affirms to me that quality and exclusivity do not necessarily go hand-in-hand.

Also, babe, your PayPal cleared in my account this morning, so tomorrow I shall go purchase all your goodies! I managed to break one of the eyeshadows in my Original Sleek palette, but only after I accidentally knocked it off the table again, onto the floor and kicked it into the wall. I’m not a very graceful cat.

Katie Holmes is really beautiful specially with right make up combination. I can say that her make up bag is full of good products because it was able to help the real beauty of Katie Holmes to come out. She looks gorgeous.

Anastasia: I feel exactly the same. I always expect celebrities to use expensive brands like La Mer so I’m always surprised to find out they use the ones I do. I like it though, it shoes you don’t need to spend lots of money to look good.
Thanks again sweety, I can’t wait to get the goodies. I’m sorry you broke the Sleek palette, that’s too bad. I’m not graceful either, last month I dropped a Collistar palette and it completely smashed. All the product was on the floor! I felt so bad cos I had only got it a couple of weeks before, but at least it was on sale.

Alyssa: have you tried amazon or sephora? I’m pretty sure they have it.

BeautyGuru: you’re right, she is beautiful and these products are perfect for her.

Oooh, thanks, I really like the insight in this post and agree with other commenters that it’s nice to see celebs using the same products I do (the salve) or ones that are very attainable.
