Website Review: Buying Online from Eyeslipsface.co.uk

Back in July, I order some products from the E.L.F. UK website. I have been wanting to try their products for ages, but they are not available here in Italy, so I was very happy when their UK site started shipping to other European countries as well.

Placing an order is very easy. Just select the items you want and enter your delivery address and payment information at checkout. I have heard lots of stories about people not getting everything they ordered from the American website. Luckily, none of the items I ordered were missing. I can’t tell you how relieved I was!

I placed my order early in the morning and a couple of hours later E.L.F. sent me an email to inform me that the items had been shipped that same day. Delivery to Europe is £5. The items are shipped with 1st Class Priority Airmail service. The website states that delivery takes 3-5 days, but I received my package after 8-10 days. I often buy from UK shops (especially clothes from ebay.co.uk, you can find some great bargains there!) and it always takes about 8-10 days for all my packages to arrive, so the delay in delivery may be due to the Italian Post Office, whose service is quite slow.

The only bad thing about their website is that it doesn’t carry the whole E.L.F. line. For example, they don’t sell their mineral makeup, bath and body products or eye make and nail polish pads, to name but a few. This is probably due to the fact that E.L.F. launched in the UK only last November, so hopefully more products will be available soon.

Summary:
Overall, my experience was positive. Placing an order is easy and although delivery took longer than they stated, I got all the items I ordered, so I can’t complain. I only wished more products were available on the website.

Rating: 4/5

Disclaimer: I ordered from the website for personal purposes and the review is based on my own experience with them. For more information, please see my disclaimer.

Cool that ELF ships in Europe now. They still don’t ship to Asia but we have quite a good distribution channel going on here so we can get the products as well. We pay more than double for the product (how much are the 1 Dollar products?) and usually have to wait 3-4weeks. What products did you order? I highly recommend the Tone Correcting Concealer, eyeshadow brush and healthy glow bronzing powder. I’m getting the empty quads soon to press pigments. As for the mineral makeup line, you’re not missing anything. I tried it out and it wasn’t great. Enjoy your haul!

Connie: I’m glad you can get ELF products too, although it’s a shame we have to pay more for them. ELF products here are $2, which is about $3. I got the Tone Correcting Concealer and the eyeshadow brush as well and I love them! I also got the Brightening Eye Color quad, the Natural Radiance Blusher, the Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF 15 and the Shine Eraser. I was very curious to try their mineral makeup line as I have never tried MMU (it’s not popular at all here yet, so just a couple of drugstore brands like L’Oreal and Max Factor sell it) and it seemed like a cheap alternative. I guess I’ll order samples from other brands then.

Alyssa: I was very relieved! I was thinking of placing another order soon, hope that will go well too.

Thanks for dropping by…Although I’ve never ordered anything from elf myself, I’ve heard bad things about their cs. How do you like their products?

Anastacia: wow, that is a lot of money! Can’t wait to see your haul! I’m sorry to show another website, I know how you feel. I need to place an order at barrym soon and I also found a website that sells sleek products and I’m thinking on placing an order there if p&p isn’t too high. And I’m blaming you for that! You got me so curious about their products.

Jnie: you’re welcome and thank you for your comment. I’ve heard bad stories too and I was so happy everything went well for me. I really like their tone correcting concelater, eyeshadow brush and Super Glossy Lip Shine 15 SPF, they’re great products esp for being so inexpensive. Their eyeshadows and blushs are just ok, though. Not bad, but not great either.

Barry M dazzle dusts are on 3-for-2 at Boots atm, so you can get 3 pots for £9 GBP. If you want to take advantage of that, I’d be more than happy to buy/ship stuff to you.

Same goes for the Sleek palettes (I got all 3 now, review to come! The Original is SO pretty) but they’re not on offer, just £4.49 each. Still great though =x

If you’re interested let me know, so I can get an accurate shipping estimate, I wouldn’t add anything on like other companies.

That is very nice of you Anastacia, I’d really appreciate it if you could do that, thank you! :) I’m gonna email you in a little while, if that’s ok with you.
