- comedogenic
Rimmel Renew & Lift Foundation is available in 5 shades. It promises to make skin look up to 8 years younger after wearing if for 12 days. I’m still quite young so I can’t tell whether or not this product actually works as an anti-aging.
The consistency of this foundation is just right and application is very easy. It provides good medium coverage, however it has the tendency to sit in expression lines, so I suggest not to use it around the eye area. It is a moisturizing foundation that contains light-reflecting particles. These reflect light away from flaws to create an even skin tone. It makes skin look radiant and feel smoother.
I also like the fact that the product contains SPF 15, protecting your skin from the damaging effects of the sun.
However this product has some flaws. Rimmel itself has confirmed that the product is oil-free but not non-comedogenic. In addition, it has a slightly drying effect. Because of the long list of ingredients and the quite pervasive fragrance (fragrances can be irritating), this product wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with sensitive skin.
Summary:
Overall, I don’t really like this foundation very much. It provides good coverage, evens out the skin tone and makes your skin feel smoother. It also contains SPF, which is always a bonus. And the price is really cheap. However the product is comedogenic and drying and can irritate people with sensitive skin.
