Looks: Pink and green

I am finally posting a look I did with my new goodies, it is quite simple as I was in a rush. This time you can only see my eyes. I had taken lots of pictures of the entire face, but they didn’t turn out well. I don’t know if it was the light, if there is something wrong with my camera or if I’m a bad photographer, but anyway, I’m gonna keep trying. I’m not happy with the picture of the eyes either, I swear it looks so much better in the flesh, the picture doesn’t do it justice, but I guess for now it’ll have to do. If you have any tips on how to take a good closeup photo, please let me know. In the meantime, here it is, please be gentle, as I’ve never put a look I’ve done online and I’m quite nervous lol. Constructive criticism is welcome. And yes, I know, I need to pluck my eyebrows, I just didn’t have the time today!

Here’s what I used:
– Pupa baked eyeshadow in green
– E.L.F. Brightening Eye Colour in Pretty n Pink
– Pupa Ultraflex mascara

Tammy: Thanks. I wish you could see in the flesh, I got so many complements for that look. I’ll keep practicising and hopefully soon I’ll be able to take a good picture of it.

    Sab: Thank you Sab!

Your eyes are so pretty! Especially the color of your iris! I like your brows too, I don’t find those overly-groomed one look that pretty…

The makeup is minimal and pretty my favorite type! Too bad I can never pull off with that look…

As for close up photo. I prefer using natural light, which will do the shimmer and texture of many cosmetic item justice. I heard that 10AM would make the prettiest lighting but I usually go with 5pm (because my room is facing west… just don’t do it at noon so that you get sunburn) If you only want to have a close up, macro mode should be able to do the job if you want a good picture of a single eye ball and stuff…I think that if you put the camera slightly tilted upward, if will look a tad bit more flattering since it shows more lashes and less eyelids…

Oh, yeah, you can also put it on count-down mode, and put it about a meter away, look *slightly* upward and see the picture…

But for some reasons, I found out that the mode thing works differently with different brands, for example, the old HP I had (got drown after a hailing incident) always blur up with the tiniest shake and doesn’t have good night function, but the sony I have now takes decent picture with even the automatic mode.

It all depents on alot of things but pratice always makes perfect.

Thanks a lot Citrine. I don’t like overly-groomed brows either. I’m quite happy with my brows, I think they’re ok, but they still need grooming every now and then.
And thanks for the tips as well. i’m gonna try all that and hopefully pix will turn out ok this time :)
