Storing your cosmetics properly is essential to prolong their shelf life. Improperly stored cosmetics deteriorate rapidly. This is even more true with all-natural or organic skin care and cosmetics as they don’t contain preservatives and therefore expire before traditional products.
The key to storing cosmetics correctly is to keep them away from humidity, moisture, heat and sudden temperature changes. Store your makeup in a cool, dry environment. Avoid the bathroom because the constant changes in humidity and heat everytime someone takes a bath or a shower may affect the products. Instead, store cosmetics in another room, like the bedroom.
A good place to store your makeup is a cosmetic cooler (picture above). It shields cosmetics from dirt and bacteria with a self-adjusting temperature and optimal humidity settings. However, they can be quite expensive.
Another good alternative, is to store your products in the fridge. This prolongs their shelf-life, makes your makeup last longer and not melt away and the cosmetics are so cool and pleasant to use in these hot summer days.
Also, remember to keep products tightly closed when not in use.

I am so lazy, while most for my cosmetic items are just lying around in my room, for the ones I don’ t reach for often enough…i put them inside a box and hide them under my bed…

Ooo Never see a make up storage my whole life! but i was told as well to store them on the side of the fridge to prolong shelf life! Haven’t tried it yet as I store my stocks in a cool dry place
thanks
I just googled cosmetic cooler and gosh, they’re EXPENSIVE!! I’d love to have one though.
I’ve always wanted a cosmetic cooler, but after finding out their price, I just store stuff in the fridge, although it is so full of food it can’t contain all my products lol.
This is great! A lot of people make the mistake and store their makeup in the bathroom which is a huge No No!
I know, I must admit I did that too years ago, when I was younger and I first started using makeup. Not I keep most stuff in my fridge and what doesn’t fit there is in my room, in a dry and cool place
