Name: Superstay Silky Foundation
Brand: Maybelline
Size: 30ml
Price: 14,90€

From Maybelline’s website:
Flawless-looking coverage & silky-soft feel
Dual chamber dispenser combines 2 formulas: colour coverage & silky feel extender
Lasts for up to 16 hours

What I liked:
- long lasting foundation
- left my skin silky
- has SPF

What I didn’t like:
- only 6 shades available
- the pump is quite tricky to use

I am always looking for a new foundation as I haven’t found one that does exactly what I want, so when this came out I was curious to try it. I have very fair skin so I purchased “Ivory”, which is the fairest shade available. Unfortunately when I tried it on I realised it was too dark for my skin (about 2-3 shades darker than my natural skin color!) and it didn’t look right on me at all. In fact, I looked a bit orange!!

I’m not really that fond of the dual chamber dispenser either. You need to pump the same quantity of both the foundation and the silky extender on your hand and blend which can get a bit messy. I also find it difficult to get the same amount of base and colour.

Application, on the other hand, is really easy and smooth. The product provided great medium coverage. Even though this foundation isn’t light it gives you a natural look. It really leaves your skin silky, which I loved!

I haven’t used this product for more than 13 hours, but the foundation lasted for all that time, no need to reapply so it really is quite long-lasting.

The active ingredient in this foundation is Titanium Dioxide which protects the skin from UVA and UVB radiations.

Summary:
Overall, this foundation delivers what it promises: great coverage, long-lasting and leaves your skin silky. However with only 6 shades available not everyone will be able to find a colour that matches their skin tone. People who have very fair skin, like me, should stay away from this product or they will risk looking orange!

Rating: 3/5

I think this stuff worked GREAT. I got it earlies today and tried it out right when i got home. It goes on really easily;; and at first it was a little dry.. but i do have dry skin; so ijust plopped some moisturizer on;; and i was FINE! [=
I LOVE THIS STUFF!
It definitally doesn’t clog your pores;; which i really NEEDED.
and it covers those blemishes really well to!
I’m not sure if it lasts all 16 hours;; but it seems greatt soo far [:
I’d recommend you get this! and hey;; you don’t like it? return it! i don’t think i’ll ever give this stuff up tho!

I’m glad this works well for you. I have to say it was one of the best drugstore foundation I have ever come across. It gives a great coverage and lasts a long time. But unfortunately I couldn’t find a shade to match my skintone. I tried the lighter one but it made me look orangey. If they started making more shades, then I would definiteky try this again.

I love this foundation. But you are right, it’s impossible that Ivory would match you, as I wear Ivory myself, and I am medium-light complexioned… (Don’t know my MAC shade, but on Sephora it’s either D30 or R35, so I’m probably, as you said, 2-3 shades darker than you). This being said, it’s the first liquid foundation that looks good on my weird skin AND does not cause me a reaction :) (I usually wear powder mineral foundation over moisturizer)

knit_tgz, yes, unfotunately this was the lighter shade they had in store and at the time I was still hoping to find a good drugstore foundation that worked for me. I’ve since given up that home and now prefer spending money on more expensive foundations that I can actually wear. I do think it’s a great foundation and I’m glad it works well for you. :)
